Highlights

Optimized Nesting Made Simple

The square build plate and underside fastening system allow for efficient component placement, maximizing usable space right to the corners.

High-Speed Printing with Premium Quality

With 500 W laser power, an 80 µm beam diameter, and the multilaser option, the system delivers fast, high-quality results for demanding applications.

Cost-Efficient Part Production

Smartly balanced build volume, laser output, and recoating speed make for an economical setup, ideal for cost-effective series production.

Greater Flexibility & Control

Adjustable laser spot sizes (55/80 µm) and in-depth process analytics offer enhanced flexibility and precise process monitoring.

User-Friendly Operation

An inert, closed powder circuit ensures easy, safe handling of both powder and printed parts, simplifying the user experience.

Consistent Quality Across Builds

Advanced thermal control and process precision ensure uniform part quality across the entire plate, even in long runs.

A square fits better

The TruPrint 2000 provides a 200 x 200 x 200 mm build volume with high-quality, screw-free printing even at the edges. It lets dental labs fit 36% more dentures per plate and boosts tool and mold making with a larger build area and stronger laser power.

Powder preparation station

The TruPrint 2000’s inert system with powder preparation station enables safe, easy handling of parts and powder under shielding gas. Printed parts are unpacked inside the machine, and excess powder is collected, sieved, and recycled in a closed loop to prevent user contact.

Integrated powder feeder

After the LMF process, the finished component separates from the powder in the chamber using the integrated powder feeder. The 200 x 200 mm square substrate plate allows easy handling, minimizing peripheral equipment to mainly the powder preparation station.

Fullfield multilaser

The full-field multilaser system (2 x 300 W, optionally 2 x 500 W) enables simultaneous exposure across the entire build volume, significantly reducing production times per component. To ensure maximum precision, the multi-laser scan fields are fully automatically calibrated.

Motorized optics

Easily switch between a 55 µm and 80 µm beam diameter in the powder bed to prioritize either high energy density (55 µm) or greater productivity (80 µm). This flexibility allows processing of materials requiring higher energy density, such as highly reflective metals.

Powder bed monitoring

The TruPrint’s integrated camera and automatic image processing continuously monitor the powder bed inside the component chamber, providing real-time, layer-by-layer quality analysis. If powder coverage is insufficient, the coating process is automatically repeated.

Hybrid production

Combining conventional manufacturing with 3D printing enables efficient production by printing complex geometries onto affordable preform blanks, precisely positioned via the machine’s HMI. This option supports both repairs and batch production for cost-effective hybrid manufacturing.

Applications

Next-Level Dental Manufacturing with TruPrint 2000

Experience the TruPrint 2000’s superior precision, efficiency, and versatility in producing top-quality dental parts and enabling seamless hybrid manufacturing workflows.

Removable partial denture

The TruPrint 2000’s fine 80-µm laser beam ensures high detail and productivity for dental parts, with low surface roughness that minimizes the need for refinishing.

Expansion Sleeve

The expansion sleeve made from AMLOY ZR01 is lightweight due to the material’s strength and elasticity. It enables printing complex geometries as one part, reducing assembly needs.

Options

Multilaser Productivity Boost

Boost productivity by up to 80% with two synchronized TRUMPF fiber lasers. Enjoy seamless part quality, 100% overlap coverage, and automatic alignment for optimal results, ideal for fast, flexible, high-volume production.

Powder Bed Monitoring

An integrated camera with image processing enables automatic, layer-by-layer monitoring of the powder bed. The system detects coating issues in real time and triggers automatic re-coating to ensure consistent build quality.

Calibration Options

Ensure precision with TruPrint calibration tools, including laser power calibration (also for multilasers), focus position checks, and scan field calibration. Measure, adjust as needed, and document results to meet verification requirements.

Melt Pool Monitoring

Sensors detect early deviations in the laser metal fusion process and provide real-time views of critical areas. Parallel monitoring of all weld pools is available, especially useful with the fullfield multilaser option.

Preform Option

Lower part costs and boost productivity by printing precise additive structures onto affordable preform blanks. Positioning is controlled by HMI and verified via Powder Bed Monitoring for efficient hybrid production, from repairs to series manufacturing.

Digital Integration for Smart Solutions

Easily connect multiple TRUMPF machines to your software environment. Whether via Oseon, monitoring tools, or third-party systems, our OPC UA–based interfaces ensure seamless integration for efficient, connected production workflows.

Monitoring

Advanced Monitoring & Calibration

With TRUMPF’s intelligent monitoring solutions, you can easily monitor, analyze, and calibrate the laser metal fusion (LFM) process of TruPrint machines. This enables more efficient production and improved component quality. The system offers comprehensive monitoring of process, condition, and performance through sensor-based data, which can be viewed directly on the TruPrint HMI or analyzed offline using the Monitoring Analyzer. TruTops Monitor provides full transparency and remote access via PC or tablet. Additionally, an OPC UA interface allows seamless integration with your own software. Calibration functions are also available to verify key process parameters, ensuring optimal production conditions before each build.

Periphery

Powder Preparation Station for Safe and Efficient Handling

The TruPrint 2000’s inert design with the powder preparation station enables safe, easy handling of powder and parts under shielding gas. Its closed circuit reduces powder exposure, enhancing safety and preventing material degradation. After the laser metal fusion process, components are unpacked in the chamber, and powder is collected via an integrated conveyor into the overflow bin. The powder is then quickly sieved into the supply cylinder and automatically weighed. This inert, closed-loop system ensures quality and supports multiple TruPrint machines simultaneously.

Powder

Enhanced Powders and Process Settings

TRUMPF’s TruPrint 2000 supports an open-materials platform including Cobalt-Chrome (CoCr), Titanium, and Stainless Steel, ideal for dental, orthodontic, and medical uses. We validate popular powders with leading manufacturers to ensure consistent, high-quality results. Using premium metal powders alongside precise process parameters guarantees superior material integrity and reliable 3D-printed parts.
