HZ-40 Centrifugal Barrel Finishing Machine

The HZ-40 is a popular industrial finishing machine built for precision part manufacturers who need high performance in a compact design. With a 4 ft by 3 ft footprint and versatile barrel options, it fits easily into most production spaces while delivering the same high-energy finishing results as larger centrifugal machines.

Machine Type: Compact
Max Part Size: 11″ L x 5.5″ D
Barrel Dimensions: 12.5″ L x 6.875″ D
Popular Industries: Additive Manufacturing, Medical & Surgical, Precision Part Manufacturers

HZ-40 Basic Operation

The HZ-40 Centrifugal Machine uses high-energy centrifugal force to quickly remove material and burrs, polish surfaces, and produce a uniform, isotropic finish not achievable by hand. Operating on the Ferris wheel principle with a one-to-one barrel and turret rotation, one or more chambers rotate in a planetary motion to create an intense sliding action for fast, consistent finishing results.

Features & Benefits

Compact Footprint

Our second smallest machine, designed to fit easily into tight production spaces without sacrificing performance.

Flexible Barrel Options

Removable barrels with four configurations, two sided, bolted end, latched end, and half latched, provide exceptional application flexibility.

Reduced Noise Levels

Operates significantly quieter than many traditional finishing methods, including vibratory tumbling systems.

Mirror Quality Finishing

Delivers smooth, mirror like surface finishes that are extremely difficult to achieve through manual polishing.

Rapid Cycle Times

Finish metal, acrylic, rubber, and other materials in minutes instead of hours or days by hand.

Safe and Simple Operation

Built in safety features include an interlocked hood switch and two button jog control with secure locking during cycles.

HZ-40 Barrels

Versatile Removable Barrels for Maximum Efficiency

The HZ-40 Centrifugal Machine offers four removable barrel styles: two-sided, bolted-end, full-size latched-end, and half-size latched-end. Operators can run one set while loading another to boost efficiency. Two-sided barrels feature dividers to prevent part damage and heavy-duty cam locks, bolted-end barrels handle high-pressure applications, full-size latched barrels provide maximum capacity with snap latches, and half-size latched barrels are lightweight and easy to handle, with two barrels per cradle for a total of eight.
